Wednesday, November 15, 2017

2 pm – 5 pm

Noir Design Parti is exploring how African American architects helped shape the physical identity of Detroit, and their influence on design, the building community, and future generations, with a bus tour of Detroit African-American designed architecture. The tour will explore sites along the Woodward Corridor and nearby, including Wayne State University’s Helen DeRoy Apartments, Bethel AME Church, and the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History.

This event is a fundraiser to help Noir Design Parti continue this project, and to raise matching funds for their winning 2016 Knight Arts Challenge Grant. AIA (American Institute of Architects) Continuing Education Credits are available for attendees.

Tickets are $50 and are available on Eventbrite http://bit.ly/2iknRJT.   Call (313) 962-4590 or visit detroitexperiencefactory.org/tours for more information.
